EA unveils Burnout CRASH!, hits XBLA and PSN this Fall

EA held their “Summer Showcase” earlier today, and one of the bigger reveals was the latest Burnout game from the guys at Criterion, Burnout CRASH! We will finally see the return of crash mode in this PSN and XBLA bound Burnout, but it won’t be in its traditional form.

Burnout Crash trades the tradition behind-the-car gameplay view for a top-down perspective. This, along with the new cartoony art style, is sure to elicit some strong reactions.

There will be 3 gameplay modes, 18 crash junctions across 6 unique locations, Autolog integration, and Kinect support. The official word regarding motion controls is that Criterion is developing a “game mode designed exclusively for Kinect.” No word on PS Move.

Burnout Crash is due to hit virtual shelves sometime this fall.
