So why does Dishonored, a new game from a smaller developer get so much attention upon being announced? It’s all about the names behind the project.

Arkane Studios is developing, with Harvey Smith acting as Co-Creative Director on the project. Harvey has a long history in the games industry, and is widely known for his part as Co-Creator of Deus Ex. Creator of Half Life 2′s City 17, Viktor Antonov, is also on the project.

Dishonored puts you in the role of Corvo, a falsely imprisoned, supernatural power-wielding bodyguard to the Empress — really. Game Informer is breaking the story on the game, and they report that the combination of “mobility, powers & gadgets, environment, and AI” will set the game apart. It has also been confirmed that a morality system will be in the mix. Bethesda Studio will be publishing Dishonored.
