Capcom announces Ace Attorney 5, HD versions of 1-3 for iOS and Android

The most famous video game litigator is making a return in a few different forms. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ace Attorney series, Capcom has announced that the fifth mainline title is on the way, and HD* remastering of the first three games in the series are on the way for iOS and Android.

Capcom was not ready to reveal any details regarding Ace Attorney 5, but specifics of the Japanese iOS and Android rereleases were announced. Dubbed Ace Attorney 123HD, the app will be a free download with the first two cases from the first game in the series acting as a taster. The rest of the first title will be available via in-app purchase for 600 yen (~$8), as will Ace Attorney 2 and 3. For those who want all three games, the total package can be purchased at a reduced price of 1200 yen (~$16).

Unfortunately, there is no mention of a US release, and while the popularity of the series would suggest a State-side release is a no-brainer, Capcom does have a history of releasing DS games on iOS in Japan, but not in the US– I’m looking at you Ghost Trick.
