Epic Mickey 2 coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii this fall

Epic Micky 2

Epic Mickey was not quite the hit that many were hoping it would be upon release in 2010. Undeterred, creator Warren Spector is taking another crack at a Disney platformer, and this time it is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 as well.

The first trailer for Disney Epic Mickey: The Power of Two hit yesterday along with a slew of screenshots. Since the Epic Mickey 2 will be hitting HD consoles, the game already looks a lot cleaner than its Wii exclusive predecessor. The painting and erasing mechanic still looks to be intact, so hopefully the platformer has been improved from the series’ first outing.

Details are scarce at the moment, but the trailer makes it clear that Epic Mickey 2 will prominently feature Disney’s first iconic character Oswald in a support role. It has also been confirmed that Oswald will be voiced for the first time in the character’s history.

Epic Mickey: The Power of Two is set to release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii this fall. Move support is planned for the PS3 version of the game, but Kinect will not be supported on the Xbox 360 side.
