Dark Souls rumored to hit PC this August [Updated: confirmed]

Namco Bandai has publicly flirted with the idea of bring cult hit Dark Souls to PC, but up until this point all hope was built on speculation alone. Now German gaming magazine “PC Action” seems to be confirming this rumor on their latest cover, which goes into some depth about what the latest version will offer. Namely, it will essentially be a direct port of the console version with a small addition of new bosses. The report (thanks to NeoGAF user EviLore) also says that the PC title will have gamepad support.

While these details have yet to be confirmed from Namco Bandai directly, it’s difficult to dispute a magazine cover. Keep an eye out for more developments on this story in the future.

[Update] The rumors are true, Dark Souls is indeed coming to PC with a Prepare to Die Edition on August 24. As the original report indicated, the only major change is the addition of new boss battles.
