Thatgamecompany has has a string of well-received unique title on the PlayStation 3 in Flow, Flower, and Journey. The studio is now be eyeing other platforms with the announcement that it will be self-publishing future titles.

Today I am pleased to announce thatgamecompany has raised funding to develop and release our games independently. This enables us to bring our games to more platforms and provide our players the highest quality experience at every point of contact.

This is great news for people who are not PS3 gamers. Thatgamecompany’s releases have offered unique experiences that few other developers deliver, so having those games on more platforms is a good thing.

Journey launched on PSN earlier this year and quickly became PSN’s fastest-selling title.
