Comic-Con 2012 game announcements: Deadpool and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure HD

Comic-Con has become much more than a comic convention over the past several years, with games and movies playing a big part at the show. This year is no different with a couple games even getting announced including a Dead Pool game from Activision, and an HD re-release of fighting game classic Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Dead Pool is not the biggest name in comic book characters, but he has become of fan-favorite over the years. The self-referencial character has appeared in some big releases recently including Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and now he is getting his own game from High Moon Studios set to launch on unspecified platforms in early 2013. The game is said to be an “action shooter,” and Nolan North will be reprising the title role.

Capcom was also at Comic-Con and announced that the classic eccentric 2D fighter Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is getting an HD update and is headed for releases on Xbox Live and PSN. The game will feature classic and HD modes, and will include online play. The $20 release is coming very soon, hitting PSN and XBLA on August 21 and 22 respectively.
